and yeh the the bumper bars are off a beetle. still got loads rodding and ratting mods to do

got them straight from mooneyes http://www.mooneyesusa.com/index.asp...S&Category=356
in the us, cost about £130 with shipping plus import tax. there are push fit so no modding needed to wheel. Got them fitted to bog standard mk2 golf 14 inch steels. You can them from 12 inch up to 15's. if you get a set becareful as there easy to dent and scratch

there's a rat in me kitchen

Saw this at Warrington GTI meet the other week, cool as f'k!!

How does it ride with the 2l 8v in? Sh't fast? How much arsing around is needed to fit the engine? Looking at my project and wondering what lump to put in, would love something like a 2l gti but looking for seomething I can slap some huge carbs on for the pure old school vibe.

i'd say she as quick as a mk3 8v but it still got the small exhaust on and i need to sort a air fillter. And got it tunned very lean at the moment as using it every day ( got 400miles on 3/4 of a tank when i went down to see lestron in south wales.

it's and easy conversion and makes an excellent every day ride but if yer in to twin carbs and racing then you would be better going for an old skool 16v
